You just can’t beat a group named after a lesbian sex position. When you’re all sitting around trying to come up with a name for your band, you come up with that. Amazing. That’s shortened from the original name Dead Lesbian and the Fibrillating Scissor Sisters. From that alone, you can tell the group would be different.
The band is very theatrical. Every song is a huge performance. Members Paddy Boom, Babydaddy, Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, and Del Marquis are all part of an Alternative, Glam, Pop revolution raising the bar to anyone perfroming a concert, in a video or just on a morning talk show.
Jake Shears has a unique voice and can do a mean false falsetto. The thing I worry about (why? I don’t know) is when he gets older, he ain’t gonna be able to do that. Look at the Beach Boys. Yikes! Well, good luck with that. His voice, his regular singing voice is fantastic. I could listen to the Scissor Sisters all day. And have. I could also watch Jake Shears dance all day. And have. If I could dance, I’d dance like him. I know how it sounds and I just don’t care. I even made my son watch one dance move about 15 times one day. He’s still mad about it, so don’t mention it.

I wish they’d hurry with the next album already. Some of these groups are just so lazy and inconsiderate!
